Whether you’re organising a full-blown party do or just having a few friends around for a quiet little dinner, these little devils are the perfect cocktail to add some extra cheer this New Year's. They went down an absolutely storm during our ‘recipe research’ sessions - be sure to watch yourself, though - they go down VERY easily (as a couple of our more shamefaced employees will tell you).
Ingredients
Makes 2 Cocktails
- 100ml vodka
- 50ml Coffee liqueur
- 100ml double cream
- Freshly grated nutmeg
- Enough brewed coffee to fill an ice cube tray (the caramel and chocolate notes in our Organic Honduran works beautifully in this recipe!)
Method

First make the coffee ice cubes. Brew enough Organic Honduran and let it cool slightly before putting it into ice cube trays and place into the freezer until completely frozen.

Now the cocktail. Pour the vodka, coffee liqueur and double cream into a cocktail shaker with ice - then shake. You want the ice to smash up while chilling the liquid down; it’s what creates the frothy top.
- Place the coffee ice cubes in a tumbler. Once shaken, tap the side of the shaker to break the vacuum seal. Then place the strainer on top of the shaker and pour the contents through a sieve directly into the glass.
- Finally, make a cheerful toast with your loved ones and enjoy!
